SUMMARY:
To conceptualize, design and execute creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate the client's brand identity, positioning and messaging through all brand touch points (including website, email, social media, retail, events, B2B and B2C marketing collateral, internal marketing and packaging, etc.), and effectively communicate the strategic intent for each tactic. This strategic, conceptual thinker will have a wide range of design capabilities and experience, with a solid background in visual communications, commercial art, print, digital, photography, video, branding and typography.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for art direction and graphic design, seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion and delivery Design and produce marketing communications pieces for a wide variety of clients.
- Collaborate with creative team, internal account teams and clients to develop creative solutions and then translate those solutions through a variety of channels.
- Stay current on industry trends.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Marketing team on all creative projects. Personally work on graphic development. Follow the company’s brand identity standards and guidelines.
- Interact with Copywriter to develop creative concepts and executions.
- Work closely with Marketing Coordinator to keep all projects on track.
- Interprets company needs and develops concepts to suit specific guidelines while working within budget constraints. Provide accurate time and cost estimates for each tactic.
- Presents design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval.
- Supports the Marketing, Retail, Corporate, Wholesale and E-commerce teams in creating sales materials. Advise stakeholders on all technical
- Visual recommendations and/or issues.
- Mentor other designers (staff, freelance, interns, etc.).
- Completion of other tasks and duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess solid understanding of consumer behaviors and market dynamics of the retail industry in an omnichannel world.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proactively recommend creative communications for marketing proposals.
- Work with internal business partners to ensure that a creative theme is included throughout all presale proposals.
- With the project manager, provide accurate price quotes to meet client budgets while maintaining pricing guidelines.
- Attend meetings as assigned.
- Design of marketing communication pieces including overall theme development, individual piece designs, etc.
- Manage production of all digital pieces from conception to completion.
- Partner with internal business partners as needed on the development of communications pieces
- Maintain quality check on all pieces.
- Deliver the communication package within the agreed upon budget and timeline.
- Process and approve vendor invoices as needed.
- Follow all department purchasing and delivery policies.
- Creatively seek out new products and maintain cutting edge industry knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
- Four year related degree and a minimum of 4-5 years design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
- Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills.
- Adaptable and quick learner. Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity for Webisdom, as well as our multiple clients.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with HTML and motion graphics a plus. Experience in Dreamweaver and Flash a plus.
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Big egos need not apply.
- Expert knowledge in graphic production process.
- Comprehensive photo-retouching and image development skills.
- Work well with tight deadlines in a team environment.

EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Demonstrated complete understanding of:
- Color theory and color relationships.
- Typographic terms that identify type forms and the specifications required to refer to typographic settings.
- Perspective and space relationships.
- Page composition and grid structures.
- Print production process and knowledge of production techniques.
- Photography and the photographic process.
- Web page and e-blast layout design and production.
- Have a strong portfolio ready for review upon request.
Demonstrated ability to:
- Communicate thorough knowledge of online and retail marketing.
- Provide effective direction at photo shoots.
- Effectively check and approve work on press.
- Effectively collect electronic materials for output.
- Effectively handle multiple assignments at one time.
